Conference Fraud Alert
VCIA is aware of fraud schemes attempted on conference attendees. The scams have become more sophisticated, often using the conference logo to lend legitimacy. Please follow these steps to avoid any issues. VCIA does not bear responosiblity for any individual scam.
Only use the VCIA hotel block link in your registration confirmation email. Do not book with another third party that claims to be a vendor for VCIA. If you are at all suspicious of a communication, do not click on it.
VCIA does not call you to solicit your registration. If you receive a call asking for your credit card information, this is not from VCIA and is a scam.
VCIA does not sell conference attendee lists. If a third party is offering this to you, it is a scam.
